Burcott, the former master bedroom, is the bed and breakfast’s deluxe suite. With solid elm floor and eclectic mix of old world charm of heavy velvet lined drapes combined with the contemporary touch of a waterbed this double aspect room is extremely comfortable. Overlooking the croquet lawn on the south and the old plum orchard on the west it is bright and spacious.The accommodation includes a five foot by seven foot waterbed, dressed in fine quality Egyptian cotton (or Irish linen) combined with the heated mattress and a down and feather duvet and pillows, to give a good night’s rest. The waterbed, though unusual in a bed and breakfast, is highly popular once experienced. It is not free flowing so is almost as stable as a conventional mattress.
The accommodation also features a Victorian daybed, a Scottish Mahogany chest dressing table, limited edition prints and a well stocked book case.
The Moroccan themed bathroom just across the landing is luxuriously appointed. It has a rain power shower which floods you in a strong stream of water, a double ended free standing bath, a basin large enough to share, and wall hung bidet and wc. Combined with underfloor heating and Victorian style radiator and towel rail, a full length mirrored cabinet, views to the old orchard, soft fluffy Terry towels and complimentary slippers, it shows anticipation of your every desire in bathroom comfort. The bathroom is shared with Connemara and Rachel's room.
