Hittisleigh Film Night
On the third Friday of each month we show a film at Hill Farm. The films are projected on to a reasonable sized screen (so it's almost like going to the pictures!), films are shown in High Definition where a Blu-Ray DVD is available. The film choice is made by the audience each month from a short list drawn from a selection of films that have been submitted. The only criteria for films to be submitted is that the nominator wants to see them - they can be classics that you've missed, favourites that you would love to see again or recommendations that you've been given.Films that have been viewed over the last couple of years include: 'The Usual Suspects', 'Cabaret', 'The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover' and 'In Bruges'. The format for the evening is fairly simple, meet up at Hill Farm around 7.30, sort out drinks and nibbles then get the film running at 8pm, followed by a brief chat about the film (nothing serious - we aren't looking for any deep critique). We usually have a glass (or three) of wine/beer - if you'd like to contribute a bottle or some nibbles please do. If you want to come please let me know (it's useful to have some idea of how many people to expect - numbers vary from 2 to 20).
The next showing is on the 20th August from a short list of 'Dorian Gray', 'The Company of Wolves' and 'Once Upon a Time in America'.
