Bed and Breakfast Frequently Asked Questions
•Do you allow pets ?
No, we no longer accommodate pets. We have found that supposedly well-behaved dogs act in a very different manner in a strange place. We have four dogs ourselves and would not take them to a bed and breakfast. Of course this does not apply to seeing dogs or other dogs that are helping people with disabilities.
•Do you supply towels ?
Yes, every guest has a fluffy white towel for inside use.
•What time is breakfast ?
Any time you like. Seriously, if you want to lie in that's your choice - equally if you want to get on the road first thing we're happy to oblige. Just let us know. To date the earliest has been 7am the latest 11am.
•Do you have a problem with gay couples ?
Absolutely not, we are more than happy to accommodate anyone that may get discriminated against in more strait-laced establishments, so welcome guests of any sexual/religious/racial/ethnic persuasion.
•What time can we arrive/ do we need to leave ?
Most bed and breakfast establishments usually cater for guests to arrive early evening and leave by mid morning. Provided we have advance notice we can usually cope with guests arriving earlier than this, we rarely have a problem with guests arriving late at night Please discuss your requirements with us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
•Why dont you have a Tourist Board rating ?
Basically because we do not think they are worth the expenditure. We prefer to rely on word of mouth, our excellent reviews and the fact that potential guests can see the quality of our bed and breakfast from our website.
•Do you allow children to stay ?
Of course we do. Read our reviews, some of them are written by our younger guests who have enjoyed their stay.
•Do you have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms ?
No, we have found that our guests much prefer to be able to make a cup of real coffee and have access to fresh milk so we have a fully equipped kitchen solely for guests use.
•Do you have televisions in the rooms ?
Now we don't, but we do have a guest lounge with large screen. Unfortunately reception here is extremely poor and having a Sky box in each room would be prohibitively expensive as well as out of character.
